The Good Life is One Inspired by Love and Guided by Knowledge

Let us begin our discussion with the differences in Knowledge and Education. The two words may sound synonym to each other but there lies a very thin line between the two. We may quote them as two sides of same coin. On one side of the coin lies education whichlargely depends on formal process of garnering the facts, figures, information, statistics and data whereas the other side is knowledge which is gained and earned from real life experiences. So is it the knowledge or education; which is the bigger fish to fry. The cerebral debate of Education versus Knowledge continues from ages.
Education is a loop whereas knowledge is an endless ladder. The essence of knowledge can be said directly proportional to the quest for curiosity. Keeping in view of maintaining a balance between education and knowledge, The Steam Education system today should be modeled in such a way that learning and not subsequent accreditation becomes the cornerstone of formal education.In today’s scenario where it becomes crucial to maintain pace with the rapidly changing world, one has to act as a catalyst to metamorphose its education to knowledge effectively.
STEAM Education is one such approach in this direction. An abbreviation for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics “ STEAM “aims at engaging the students into  critical thinking process along with problem solving and decision-making skills. It emphasizes on HOW of things rather than just knowing and by hearting them. It maneuvers the inquisitive nature of children. It is a process of application of what they learn through experimentation and trial and error creativities. This in a way not only gives rise to thoughtful questions but also empowers them to come up with discoverable answers to them.
The teamwork required in STEAM experiments also enhances compatibility of children to work along and in different atmospheres. It is a tactful practice of dividing responsibilities, listening and encouraging each other throughout the process.
STEAM inspires the hidden scientist in each child and gives them an opportunity to come up with their unique solutions to the problems. Rigorous failure and success in the process of experimenting with things keeps them well involved and exercises the innovative and critical thinking process. It provides them hands on experience for better employment opportunities ahead.  The ‘A’ in the STEAM education which corresponds to ART also plays a significant role in upbringing the personality. The intersection of visual arts or music with different streams of STEAM soothes the mind and plays a vital role in producing positive vibes.
To conclude STEAM education strives to inspire the children to live up their dreams and conquer the multi-faceted challenges coming up their way with full grace and poise. Thus in one line we can state that STEAM is a beautiful amalgamation of education and knowledge which results in carving the children such as to make sure they do not lag behind in this ever changing world.
